Cheetah: The single-seat multirole fighter aircraft, the Atlas Cheetah, was manufactured by Denel Aviation Systems in South Africa. It was derived from the French Dassault Mirage III jet fighter. The Mirage is renowned for its use by Israel in the Yom Kippur War and the Six Day War, and was flown by the Royal Australian Air Force before the acquisition of the F/A-18 Hornet. |
