  • What is the season format?
    • The season is a 9-week round robin format. There will be no finals.
  • As the season is shorter, will I get a discount on my fees?
    • Waratah Netball Club is electing to offer a $20 refund, which is approximately 50% of the WNC portion of your fees.
  • Will I still be in the same team?
    • Teams have been reset by the WNC Selection Committee, depending on who is playing. We will endeavour to keep you close to the same team.
  • What grade will my team be playing in?
    • NNA will endeavour to keep teams as close as possible to their existing grading.
  • Where will junior training be located?
    • At this time no school grounds are able to be utilised for non-Departmental activities. WNC is sourcing potential training locations and will advise as soon as we can.
  • I have considered all the information, and I no longer want to play. Will I get a full refund and when will this happen?
    • Yes, you will receive a full refund which will be processed by Netball NSW. This may take a couple of weeks to be finalised due to the process required to register your official withdrawal.
  • When does registration close?
    • Our Club registration is closed. However, if you are still interested in joining a team, you can email, and we may be able to help. 
  • Do senior teams train and if so, when?  
    • ​​Senior teams train on Tuesday nights from 6.00pm.  Training is at the Newcastle Netball Courts on Union Street
  • I don't want to umpire. Can I pay someone else to do it for me? How much does it cost?
    • Although Waratah Netball Club encourages all players to do their umpiring duties, NNA does allow players to pay for umpires. Use the Request for Umpire Form at this link - the cost is usually $30 per umpire per game.
  • How do I know which team I will be put into? Can I play with my friends? 
    • Waratah Netball Club conducts a selection for senior teams, and will then advise you of the team that you are in.  We will also try to support your request to play with your friends. This is covered in our Team Selection Policy.  
  • I registered and paid online but now I can't play. How do I withdraw/ get a refund? 
    • Depending on when you identify that you cannot play, you may be entitled to a refund.  This depends on why you can't play, and whether is it after the Netball Australia cut-off date.  For more details please email or call 0468 889 500.
  • My team-mate has a training singlet/scarf/backpack, how can I get one?
    • These are usually presented as part of the end of season presentos, however sometimes there are spares that you can buy.  Email or call Megan on 0414 292 027 with your request
